After a few months, i´d say years..., I´m back. Some people are still reading my old posts, and asking me questions, so, it´s time to continue the PHASE II.
The last prototype I implemented helped me to discover a lot of problems and challenges that we´re facing when we want to track every watt in your installation.
They´re:
- Initial State: Consumption patterns, Installed devices like heating system, ..
- Measurement: Know how much you produce, consume, and devices´s consumption
- Controlling: How to properly manage your energy.
- Consumption: Waste your energy, maximize your investment
The first challenge is: How can I measure the surplus energy with precision, real time, and from that, how I control the energy delivery to my devices.
In my previous project, I implemented my own energy meter. That consumed mostly all of my time in the project, so this time i´ll find something already done, and cheap....
So, Today i bought this item. I invite anyone interested to "enjoy" with that to order one.
I checked that this device has good properties we need:
- Directional measurement, negative or positive measurement
- Output of Data
- Control panel of your data

Now, next step is hooking an Arduino to the device, reading the output and implement the remote delivery of data to one or more remote devices.
I´ll post a better design of the project meanwhile I´m waiting the item.
